This was a great example of the members of a business, being willing to go the extra mile.
I found Blooming Gorgeous Floristry through a web search on my phone, on a site called Direct2Florist.com. It turned out that I was ordering the flowers after the stated deadline for same-day delivery. The calendar on the form, did however allow me to select same-day delivery but I was unsure what would happen so I decided to ring up Blooming Gorgeous Floristry, just to clarify when the flowers were going to be delivered. The man who answered the phone, was friendly and really pleasant to speak to - he genuinely listened to what I was saying and after a short consultation with others in the shop, he said that they would deliver the same day...and they did!
In the past, I have worked in Customer Service training and we used to say that one way of providing really good customer service, was to pleasantly surprise your customer by sending them away with a much better result than they imagined they would get and thus, brightening their day. Blooming Gorgeous Floristry really did just that and sent me away with a smile. I cannot compliment them enough. I am sure they wouldn't always be able to do what they did for me but I got the feeling that if they could, they would. Super!
