Ordered flowers late evening on the Friday for a Saturday delivery. Received an email on the Saturday morning saying chosen florist was closed and that delivery was rescheduled to the Monday afternoon and if this did not suit to contact Direct2florist to discuss how to move forward, if it was acceptable no further action was required. I left the order with being delivered on the Monday. A couple of hours later on the Saturday I received another email stating that the florist I had chosen (Fleur & Bloome) was unable to fulfil my order but that it had been passed to another professional florist nearby (Helensburgh Flowers). The original order I placed was with Helensburgh Flowers not Fleur & Bloome which left me somewhat confused. I didn't pursue this as I just wanted some flowers to be delivered to a friend who had suffered a bereavement as quickly as possible. The delivery date of the Monday came and went, the track flowers option was showing the status as "with florist" and there had been no contact from my friend to indicate the flowers had been delivered. On Tuesday morning I checked the status again which was still showing as "with florist". I emailed Direct2florist web team to enquire about delivery and to ask for confirmation that the flowers had been delivered on the Monday as expected. I felt it inappropriate to contact my friend to ask given the reason for the flowers being sent. The web team did keep in touch to say that the owner was out doing deliveries but they would contact me again once they had heard back from the owner. I then heard back and the tracking had been updated to say "delivered" on the Monday. Later that evening on the Tuesday my friend got in touch to thank us for the beautiful floral arrangement. I did not ask her whether the flowers were received on the Monday or Tuesday. The communication was rather confusing in relation to the florist chosen and confirmation of delivery, which if delivered on the Monday was true then the tracking was not updated accordingly leaving me wondering as to whether the flowers had been delivered on time or not. The web team communicated in good time when my email was sent on the Tuesday and kept me updated then. I cannot personally comment on the flowers but can only quote what the recipient said which was "beautiful floral arrangement". This was the first time of using Direct2florist. I would consider using them again as perhaps this was just a one off set of issues and given how the web team kept in touch and did respond quickly I would like to give them a second chance in the future.
