At Direct2florist, we take pride in connecting flower buyers directly with local, independent florists. That’s what our business is all about. These florists, understandably, need some time off for family time or to relax, which is why we don’t ask them to be open seven days a week. That’s why, on a ‘normal’ Sunday (more on the unusual Sundays below!), most florists who are part of our network will be closed. There are, however, some exceptions:
- Some city centre florists, including a number in London, do open their doors on a Sunday. To check if a florist is indeed open, click on the florist details tab when selecting your florist during the order process.
- On Mothering Sunday, florists are very much open, delivering beautiful bouquets to mums everywhere. They like to deliver as early as possible, so if ordering flowers for Sunday delivery on Mother’s Day, order early!
- If Valentine’s Day or Christmas Eve fall on a Sunday, then florists will open. For Valentine’s Day flowers, they’ll be delivering Valentine’s bouquets throughout the day, on Christmas Eve, our florists will generally open for half the day, heading home in the afternoon to get the sprouts on and wrap those last-minute presents.
For all of the above occasions, simply check the calendar for each individual florist's open status and for any messages regarding delivery availability.
Of course, because every occasion deserves flowers, our florists are here to deliver on Saturday or Monday, helping you to either get in early or to ensure celebrations are extended for at least another day. Whenever the flowers are delivered, the lucky recipient will no doubt thank you for them, especially when made by hand and delivered with care by a skilled local florist.
