Direct2florist has become the first company in its sector to introduce a dedicated Eco Range that is guaranteed to use no non-recyclable waste.
The collection of products, which come packaged in fully biodegradable and recyclable materials, much of which is made from natural products, have been developed following feedback from customers. The move is part of Direct2florist’s commitment to phase out single use plastics and packaging waste over the coming years.
Commenting on the introduction of the Eco Range Simon Stirling, Direct2florist’s Managing Director said: “We all need to play our part in protecting the world we live in and, having seen the damage caused by plastic in our oceans, we’re proud to be the first in our sector to introduce a dedicated Eco Range. As a business, along with the thousands of florists that are part of our global network, we can make a difference by using natural, recyclable and fully biodegradable products.
This very special collection of the finest flowers is wrapped in paper and tied using natural materials. D2F's Eco range has been specially created using fully-biodegradeable or recyclable packaging. Kraft paper, raffia & biodegradeable string, as well as fully-recyclable containers.

“The Eco Range is just the start of our plans. We’ll be working hard within our industry to ensure the full chain, from grower of the flowers and foliage our florists use, through to the logistics and the manufacturers of packaging materials, share our commitment to protecting the planet.”
Direct2florist’s Eco Range gifts include no non-recyclable materials – Kraft paper, raffia, biodegradable string and recyclable containers are used in the packaging.
The eco range is available from Direct2florist’s network of independent florists – with customers able to select the products and have them delivered just as they would do with any of our products. Look out for the special Eco Range tag on each individual florist’s product listing.
