    Quick Facts about Norwich

The historic East Anglian city of Norwich packs medieval architecture and scenic parks into its relatively small size. Despite a series of charming cobbled streets and an impressive cathedral, not to mention the city's picturesque setting – it's the only Englich city located inside a national park – Norwich is a popular destination for visitors and locals alike. and plenty of diverse shopping options, Norwich is something of a hidden gem.

From Medieval times right through to the Early Modern Age, Norwich was second only to the capital in terms of population, with workers flocking to the city from all around to partake in the city's wool trade and weaving industry.

In the 17th century, Norwich was regarded as the place to be for gardeners, flower-fans, horticulturalists, and florists, thanks to the Florists' Feast – a celebration of all things floral. The first feast took place on May Day in 1631, and brought people from across the country to Norwich to admire the exquisite flowers grown in the region. The tradition for floral excellence is carried on today by Direct2florist's network of local florists who area ready to deliver a brilliant bouquet, whatever the occasion, today, tomorrow or whenever you need it.
