About & History:

Located in the historic market town of Downham Market, in a grade 2 listed building, you'll find a quaint little flower shop - Elizabeth the Florist. Here you'll discover a range of fresh flowers sourced from local vendors as well as from reputable companies in Holland. From humble Chrysanthemum to exotic Protea, we have them all. No matter the occasion you want to celebrate or the feeling you want to express, we have a floral arrangement for you. Kate took over the Downham Market shop in 2003 and has worked tirelessly to maintain the quality and high standard that our customers have come to expect over the past 15 years. After growing up in a little village on the outskirts of Downham it seemed like a sensible place for Kate to begin her business venture. Wanting to maintain the family run, independent feel that all businesses in Downham Market have, the team has been kept to a small group of friendly, talented florists – each bringing a different strength and style to the table.

Anne

Order placed via Direct2Florist listing. 5th Oct 2025

Ordered quite late for Mother’s Day but flowers were delivered on time which was appreciated considering it was a Sunday! Flowers were nice, fresh & well presented but I felt a little pricey. However I have found that all flowers are expensive these days but I have ordered through other outlets in the past & have been extremely disappointed . You can never tell until they arrive but everything about this order was good!

Maria

Order placed via Direct2Florist listing. 19th May 2022

Excellent flowers and service - asked for late delivery to ensure recipient home from work - delivered out of shop's normal working hours! This is the second time I've used D2F and this particular local florist in Downham - Elizabeth the Florist. Didn't comment after first use. The first time I used D2F it was a same day delivery - got the same excellent flowers and delivery service. Excellent choice on both occasions - strongly recommended!
