About & History:

Fairydust Flowers was established in 2013 by Gail Byrne. Gail has had a passion for flowers ever since she can remember, from helping her Mum in the garden to buying cut flowers from the local florist. Gail's creative flair and true appreciation for the beauty in nature inspired her to train as a florist at 16. She studied Floristry at Brinsbury College in Pulbourough and qualified in 2004. She has worked in the industry ever since, gaining employment and experience in shops across Sussex. In 2013 she opened her first shop in Station Road, Portslade. In 2022, Gail and her small team moved to The Fairydust Flower Studio Hove. Gail explains that "after 9 successful years trading on the high street it was time to move forward with online and telephone orders." Fairydust Flowers style has a natural, delicate, free flowing spirit while incorporating the principles of design associated with professional floristry. They use a range of materials mixed together to achieve this look, from dried flowers, moss, driftwood, succulents and toadstools hidden within the fresh flowers. They are mindful of the environment too, and work with Eco sundries where possible. Gail explains "we put a lot of pride and care into each product we make using the finest blooms of the day. We try our best to source more unique flowers and buy British blooms as much as possible. We can cater to individual tastes and offer a bespoke service for customers who wish to have more of a creative input."

Exquisite selection of flowers in the Mother's Day bouquet I ordered for my wife. Still fresh now, 10 days later. Thankyou Gail (Fairydust Flowers)

I was disappointed from the photo I was sent of the flowers that were given to my cousin. However, I was assured by the florist that they were indeed brighter and more cheery than the photo looked. So I will likely try them again in a month or so.

Gail provides excellent advice on helping you choose the right choice. She doesn't rush you or try to sell the more expensive arrangements. She has a calm professional manner that puts you at ease. My mother and I were delighted with the flowers for my dad's funeral. We had requested out of season flowers. While she didn't guarantee she could get spring flowers in early January, She got everything we wanted and far exceeded our expectations. She so deserves the five stars and more. Fully recommended fairydustflowers to everyone. Thank you Gail x
